The Norochcholai Power Plant is expected to resume electricity generation tomorrow (22), potentially eliminating the need for scheduled power cuts across the country, the National System Operator (NSO) has stated.
A nationwide power outage occurred last Saturday due to an imbalance in the national electricity system.
Following the incident, the suspension of operations at the Norochcholai Power Plant necessitated scheduled power cuts across the island over the past two days.
The scheduled power cuts will continue today (21) under the existing arrangements. However, the resumption of electricity generation at Norochcholai tomorrow is expected to help restore the power supply and potentially bring an end to the scheduled interruptions.
