Parliament is scheduled to meet from October 20 to 23, Parliament Secretary-General Kushani Rohanadeera has announced. The parliamentary business for the week was decided at a meeting of the Committee on Parliamentary Business held today (October 16) under the chairmanship of Deputy Speaker Dr. Rizvie Salih.

Accordingly, on each day of the sittings, the period from 9.30 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. will be allocated for parliamentary business listed under Standing Order 22(1) to (6).

The period from 10.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. will be reserved for oral questions, while questions under Standing Order 27(2) will be taken up from 11.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.
