Badulla District Parliamentarian Chamara Sampath Dassanayake has been arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) in connection with investigations into four alleged bribery-related incidents.
Mr.Dassanayake arrived at the Bribery Commission on Monday (12) after being summoned to appear before investigators as part of the ongoing investigations.
The Commission had previously instructed the parliamentarian to appear before it last Friday. However, he failed to appear on that occasion.
