A contempt of court case filed against Parliamentarian Dilith Jayaweera, former Parliamentarians Wimal Weerawansa and Udaya Gammanpila, and three others was taken up before a three-member bench of the Court of Appeal.
The bench directed the Registrar of the Court to take necessary steps to provide the documents and information required by the lawyers appearing for the named respondents.
The case is scheduled to be taken up again on October 15 in the morning to review the progress regarding the relevant documents and information.
The three-member bench also informed that the case will be taken up again before the Court of Appeal on the afternoon of October 23 for submissions by the lawyers representing the named respondents.
