Minister Anura Karunatilaka says legal advice will be sought on taking action under the Petroleum Act and the powers vested in the Ministry if private fuel suppliers continue to restrict the distribution of fuel to filling stations.

He made the remarks in Parliament today (October 7) while responding to a question raised by Parliamentarian S. M. Marikkar during the oral questions session.

The Minister said the government would consider appropriate action based on the legal provisions and powers available to the Ministry.
