A ten-member panel of doctors at the Colombo National Hospital has informed the Colombo Magistrate’s Court that retired Major General Suresh Sallay, former Director of the State Intelligence Service (SIS), can be discharged after completing his medical treatment.
A ten-member panel of doctors at the Colombo National Hospital has informed the Colombo Magistrate’s Court that retired Major General Suresh Sallay, former Director of the State Intelligence Service (SIS), can be discharged after completing his medical treatment.
Additional Solicitor General Dileepa Peiris told the court that Sallay is expected to be taken back into the custody of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) this afternoon following his discharge from the hospital.
Sallay is currently receiving treatment at the Colombo National Hospital while in CID custody.
