The six suspects who were arrested during a protest march organised by the Frontline Socialist Party (FSP) and the People's Struggle Alliance have been granted bail. They were granted bail after being produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court today (04).
The protest march was organised yesterday (03) to voice opposition to the Government's tax policies and the rapidly rising cost of living. Police arrested the group on charges of unlawful assembly and using loudspeakers without prior authorisation.
