Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Ven. Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera has been arrested by police in the Thiniyawala area.
The arrest was made under a warrant issued directing that he be arrested and produced before court.
The Supreme Court recently invalidated the presidential pardon granted to Ven. Gnanasara Thera by former President Maithripala Sirisena in connection with a contempt of court conviction.
