Water supply to several areas in Ratnapura will be suspended for 13 hours today (30) due to essential maintenance work at the Kolonna Water Treatment Plant.
Accordingly, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board said the water supply will be suspended from 9.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.
The affected areas are Madawela, Karagahayaya, Mahayaya, Kella, Aluboda, Welketiya and Jadura.
The maintenance work is being carried out to improve the quality and reliability of the water supply, the Board said.
Residents in the affected areas have been advised to store sufficient water before the suspension and use the stored water sparingly.
