Sri Lanka recorded 107,093 tourist arrivals during the first 20 days of September 2026, according to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).
India emerged as the leading source market, with 32,536 visitors, accounting for approximately 30% of total arrivals during the period.
The United Kingdom ranked second with 7,906 arrivals, followed by Australia with 7,393 visitors.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka recorded a total of 1,642,215 tourist arrivals from January 1 to September 20, 2026.
Of these, 418,019 tourists arrived from India, while the United Kingdom accounted for 157,895 visitors, according to the SLTDA.
