The Colombo Permanent Trial-at-Bar today (22) sentenced 15 individuals convicted in connection with the Easter Sunday terror attacks to 220 years of rigorous imprisonment each.
The sentences were delivered in accordance with the final verdict in the trial relating to the Easter Sunday terror attacks, which claimed the lives of 269 people and injured more than 500 others.
However, the court acquitted and released nine other accused who had been charged in connection with the attacks.
