Police say two unidentified individuals who arrived on a motorcycle allegedly attempted to shoot a person in the Kahawa area of Ambalangoda today (21).The targeted individual told police that he noticed the two men approaching to shoot him and fled the scene.
As a result, the shooting attempt was unsuccessful. The suspects reportedly pursued the individual but were unable to locate the route he had taken while fleeing.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
