The practical examinations of the 2026 GCE Advanced Level Examination will be conducted islandwide, the Department of Examinations has announced.
The practical examinations for candidates who sat the written examination will be held according to the following schedule:
Dance (Oriental), Dance (Bharatha), Music (Eastern), Music (Carnatic), Music (Western), Drama and Theatre (Sinhala/Tamil/English): September 24 to October 3
Engineering Technology: September 30 to October 10
Home Economics: October 10 to October 20
Bio Systems Technology: October 17 to October 21
Admission cards for school candidates will be sent to the respective school principals, while admission cards for private candidates will be posted to the addresses provided in their applications.
The Department of Examinations has also enabled candidates to download their admission cards from its official website seven days before the commencement of the relevant practical examination.
