Sri Lankan javelin thrower Rumesh Tharanga, one of the country’s top medal hopes at the Asian Games in Japan, is scheduled to depart for Japan tonight (19).
His coach, Tony Prasanna, said the special javelin set provided to Tharanga by the Ministry of Sports is expected to arrive in Japan shortly.
Tharanga is set to compete in the men’s javelin throw preliminary round on September 26.
