New hotline numbers have been introduced for applicants facing issues related to obtaining police clearance certificates.
Sri Lanka Police said applicants can contact the Special Operations Room at Police Headquarters around the clock through the new hotline numbers to report difficulties related to submitting clearance certificate applications.
Online applications for police clearance certificates have been temporarily suspended due to essential maintenance work on the computer system.
However, Police Media Assistant Superintendent F.U. Wutler said applications for police clearance certificates are still being accepted at the relevant local police stations until the clearance computer system is restored.
