Sri Lanka have named a 15-member men’s T20 cricket squad for the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, featuring several players with senior international experience.
The squad includes Niroshan Dickwella, Chamika Karunaratne, Nuwan Thushara, Binura Fernando, Ashen Bandara, Nuwanidu Fernando, Dushan Hemantha, Pramod Madushan and Vijayakanth Viyaskanth.
Lasith Croospulle, Sahan Arachchige, Tharindu Hasanka, Wanuja Sahan Kumara, Keshan Thathsara De Livera and Sineth Jayawardena complete the squad, according to the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka.
Ashan Priyanjan has been appointed head coach, while Anusha Samaranayake and Upul Chandana will serve as fast bowling and spin bowling coaches, respectively.
The men’s cricket competition is scheduled to take place from September 24 to October 3 in Japan. Sri Lanka are one of four seeded teams, alongside India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, and will enter the tournament directly at the knockout stage.
