Police Media Spokesman Assistant Superintendent of Police F.U. Wootler revealed the figure at a media briefing on the “Rata Ma Ekata” national operation.
Of those arrested, 8,931 were boys and 173 were girls.
Meanwhile, police revealed that 175 people died by suicide in 2025 due to the impact of the drug menace. Of them, 172 were men and three were women.
The Police Media Spokesman also stated that 11 people have died in drug-related incidents so far in 2026.
During raids conducted from October 30, 2025, until the day before yesterday, police seized 2,277 kilograms and 524 grams of heroin, 3,172 kilograms and 52 grams of ice, 293 kilograms and 872 grams of cocaine, and 9,512 kilograms and 310 grams of cannabis.
