Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who is in Sri Lanka on a three-day official visit, visited the Seetha Amman Temple in Hakgala, Nuwara Eliya, today (10) and participated in a special blessing ceremony.
Minister Singh was welcomed at the temple by its Chairman and Parliamentarian V. Radha Krishnan and members of the temple’s Board of Trustees.
A special blessing ceremony was subsequently conducted for the visiting Indian Defence Minister.
Following the ceremony, Minister Singh was presented with a memento by the Chairman of the temple’s Board of Trustees.
Rajnath Singh travelled from Colombo to Nuwara Eliya by an Sri Lanka Air Force Mi-17 helicopter, which landed at the Nuwara Eliya Municipal Council grounds. He was received upon arrival by Nuwara Eliya District Parliamentarian Manjula Suraveeraarachchi.
