Former national rugby player Fazil Marija has been appointed as the Head Coach of the Sri Lanka Men’s Sevens rugby team.
Sri Lanka Rugby President Pavithra Fernando said the appointment was made with the upcoming Asian Games rugby tournament identified as the team’s primary objective.
Marija, a former Sri Lanka international, currently serves as the Head Coach of Kandy Sports Club and the Trinity College Kandy rugby team.
His appointment is expected to strengthen Sri Lanka’s preparations as the national Sevens team targets a strong performance at the Asian Games.
