Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Minister Vijitha Herath will undertake an official visit to the United Arab Emirates from September 2 to 3, 2026, with discussions expected to focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation between Sri Lanka and the UAE.
During the visit, Minister Herath is scheduled to meet several senior UAE ministers, including Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation Dr. Abdulrahman Abdulmannan Al Awar and Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri.
The discussions are expected to cover matters of mutual interest and further cooperation between the two countries, particularly in areas related to foreign employment, tourism and economic ties.
On September 2, Minister Herath, together with UAE Minister of Foreign Trade Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, will participate in the second edition of “Sri Lanka Beyond Your Dreams” in Dubai.
