The government is committed to implementing its programme to ensure that those involved in corruption are given due punishment, Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa said.
He made these remarks while attending an event held to establish a Divisional Council in Bombuwala, Kalutara.
The Minister said that the law is now being enforced equally and fairly against everyone in the country.
He also revealed that young people addicted to drugs in the Kalutara District have been identified. Necessary action will be taken regarding these individuals in the future, he said.
Minister Jayatissa also shared his views on proposed reforms in the country’s judicial sector, stressing the importance of strengthening the justice system and ensuring its effective functioning.
