Russia’s S7 Airlines is planning to launch a new international air service connecting Novosibirsk in Siberia with Colombo, Sri Lanka, from December 20, 2026.
The new service is scheduled to operate twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, with a technical stop in Jaipur, India. The total journey time is expected to be around 10 hours.
Flights will depart from Tolmachevo Airport in Novosibirsk at 5:15 a.m. on Thursdays and 5:00 a.m. on Sundays, arriving at Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake at 1:40 p.m. local time.
Return flights from Colombo are scheduled to depart at 2:50 p.m. on the same days and arrive in Novosibirsk at 2:15 a.m. the following day.
Tickets for the new route have already been put on sale, allowing passengers to book flights between Novosibirsk and Colombo ahead of the service launch.
The new connection is expected to provide an additional air link between Russia and Sri Lanka, while also offering travellers a new route between Siberia and Colombo.
