President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, currently in Kandy to participate in the annual Esala Perahera celebrations at the historic Sri Dalada Maligawa, paid homage to the Sacred Tooth Relic this afternoon (27).
During his visit to the Sri Dalada Maligawa, the President also met with thousands of devotees who had gathered at the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic for the Perahera celebrations and inquired about their well-being.
Central Province Governor Dr Harsha Suranga was also present on these occasions.
