The remains of veteran singer and renowned musician Visharad Dr. Nanda Malini will be placed at the Nanda Malini Sangeetha Ashramaya in Nugegoda at 10.00 a.m. tomorrow (August 21) to allow the public to pay their last respects.
According to Professor Sunil Ariyaratne, the remains will be kept at the music academy, located at No. 30, Vijayaba Mawatha, Nawala Road, Nugegoda.
The final rites of the celebrated singer will be held at 5.00 p.m. on Saturday (August 22) at the General Cemetery in Borella.
Dr. Nanda Malini was one of Sri Lanka’s most acclaimed vocalists, whose contribution to Sinhala music spanned several decades.
