Sri Lanka’s Parliament is scheduled to convene today (19) at 9.30 a.m., with several key parliamentary matters set to be taken up throughout the day.
The period from 9.30 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. has been allocated for parliamentary business listed under Standing Order 22(1) to 22(6).
From 10.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m., the House will consider questions for which oral answers are expected. This will be followed by questions under Standing Order 27(2) from 11.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.
The main business of the day is scheduled from 11.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., when Parliament is expected to debate a resolution under the Finance Act. The resolution is included in Supplement No. 4 to the Order Paper No. 4 of Parliament, issued on August 7, 2026.
The day’s proceedings will conclude with questions at the adjournment of the House, scheduled from 5.00 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.
