Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc has become the leading wicket-taker among left-arm bowlers in Test cricket history.
Starc achieved the milestone today (13), which coincides with International Left-Handers Day, making the achievement even more significant.
He broke the record by dismissing Shadman Islam in the first Test against Bangladesh in Darwin.
Starc has now taken 434 wickets in 105 Tests and 202 innings, surpassing the previous record held by former Sri Lankan spinner Rangana Herath.
Herath finished his Test career with 433 wickets in 93 matches and 170 innings.
