The Government today (09) briefed the All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama (ACJU) on ongoing reforms in the judicial and prison sectors.

A government delegation, including Minister of Justice and National Integration Harshana Nanayakkara, Deputy Speaker Dr. Rizvie Sally, and Deputy Minister of Religious and Cultural Affairs Muneer Mulaffar, participated in the meeting.

The delegation held detailed discussions with the ACJU on the reforms currently being implemented in the judicial and prison sectors.

The meeting was attended by ACJU President Rizvi Mufthi, General Secretary Ash-Sheikh Arkam Nooramith Mowlavi, and members of the Executive Council.

The meeting also focused on clarifying misinformation currently circulating in society regarding the judicial system and updating the ACJU on the Government’s progress in implementing the ongoing reforms.
