Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shani Abeysekara, has been promoted to the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG).
Mr.Abeysekara, who currently heads the CID, has been serving in a key role within Sri Lanka’s police service, overseeing investigations into a range of high-profile criminal cases.
