The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has extended the Level 2 landslide early warning for several areas across four districts due to the prevailing adverse weather conditions.
The warning applies to selected locations in the Kandy, Kegalle, Nuwara Eliya, and Ratnapura districts.
According to the NBRO, the landslide warning is effective for 24 hours from 9:00 a.m. on August 5 and will remain in force during this period. The organization has urged residents in at-risk areas to remain vigilant and follow the instructions issued by local authorities.
