The commemorative event, centred at the Nagananda International Buddhist University, is scheduled to commence on November 28 under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and will continue until December 2.

Maitipe Wimalasara Thera, members of the organising committee, senior officials from the Presidential Secretariat, the Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, the Gampaha District Administration, representatives of state and private institutions, and senior officers of the security forces.
