Marking a significant milestone in Sri Lanka's cooperative sector, the "Cooperative Member Digital Portal" is scheduled to be officially launched today (July 14) at 9:30 a.m. at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute.

The initiative, organized by the Department of Cooperative Development, aims to modernize and digitize services for cooperative members across the country, enhancing accessibility, efficiency, and member engagement.

The official launch will be presided over by the Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development, Wasantha Samarasinghe.

The event will also be attended by the Deputy Minister of Cooperative Development, Upali Samarasinghe, and the Deputy Minister of Trade, Commerce and Food Security, R. M. Jayawardena, along with other government officials and representatives of the cooperative sector.

The launch of the Digital Portal is expected to strengthen the country's cooperative movement by providing members with improved access to digital services and information.
