The Sri Lankan Rupee has depreciated further against the US Dollar, according to the latest daily exchange rate report released by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) on Wednesday (July 9).

The CBSL reported that the buying rate of the US Dollar increased to Rs. 331.34, while the selling rate rose to Rs. 340.86.

The latest exchange rates reflect a continued weakening of the local currency against the US Dollar, which could have implications for import costs, inflation, and foreign exchange transactions.

The Central Bank publishes daily exchange rates based on prevailing market conditions, with rates subject to change in response to demand and supply in the foreign exchange market.
