The agreement was reached during a discussion held at the Ministry of Agriculture to determine paddy purchase prices.
A special meeting with rice mill owners took place today at the Ministry of Agriculture under the leadership of Minister K.D. Lalkantha. Minister Wasantha Samarasinghe, along with Deputy Ministers T.B. Sarath and Namal Karunaratne, also participated in the discussion.
Representatives of both large-scale and small-scale rice mill owners attended the meeting.
