During the meeting, the delegation submitted a letter outlining the key demands and concerns of the Tamil community in Sri Lanka.
The delegation included Tamil National People's Front (TNPF) leader and Member of Parliament Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam, along with several other Tamil political representatives.
Discussions also focused on the issues affecting fishermen in both Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka's Northern Province, with both sides exchanging views on challenges faced by the fishing communities.
