As part of the traditional Tissa Perahera festival, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa had the honor of ceremonially carrying the sacred image during the procession.
He also participated in the religious ceremony of placing the Sacred Relic Casket on the ceremonial tusker, alongside a number of distinguished invitees. The event was conducted with deep reverence and traditional honors, marking one of the most significant rituals of the annual Perahera celebrations.
