CIABOC said the arrest was made a short while ago in connection with a corruption allegation dating back to her tenure as Chairperson of the National Lotteries Board.
According to the Commission, Perera is accused of recruiting three officers to the National Lotteries Board and subsequently deploying them to serve on the personal staff of the then-Minister of Finance, Ravi Karunanayake.
She is expected to be produced before the relevant court, while further investigations are being carried out by CIABOC.
