The second day of the “ Kolabatath Poson” National Scout Poson Zone, organised by the Sri Lanka Scout Association with the coordination of the Presidential Secretariat and the support of both public and private sector institutions, was officially declared open yesterday (29) evening by Minister of Health and Mass Media Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa.
The Poson Zone features a replica depicting the arrival of Arahant Mahinda Thera in Sri Lanka, a Poson lantern exhibition, a devotional music concert, and several dansals offering free refreshments to devotees.
Among those present at the event were Western Province Governor Hanif Yusoof, Presidential Secretary Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, Senior Additional Secretaries to the President Roshan Gamage, Additional Secretary to the President K.N.M. Kumarasinghe, President of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka, Senior Attorney-at-Law Rajeev Amarasuriya, President of the Sri Lanka Scout Association Ransiri Perera, and several other distinguished guests.
