The deadline for public officials and other individuals required by law to submit their declarations of assets and liabilities without incurring penalties expires tomorrow (June 30), the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) announced.

The Commission warned that legal action will be initiated against those who fail to submit their declarations in accordance with the provisions of the Anti-Corruption Act No. 9 of 2023.

CIABOC stated that all declarations must be submitted online through its electronic asset declaration system, emphasizing that paper-based submissions are no longer accepted.

The Commission further noted that individuals who fail to submit their asset and liability declarations before the deadline will be liable to fines and other legal consequences under the Act.

Officials required to submit their declarations have been urged to complete the process before the June 30 deadline to avoid penalties.
