This year's Official Languages Week will be held under the theme, "Strengthen Languages – Win Hearts."
The week-long programme has been scheduled as follows:
July 1 – Official Languages Day and the inaugural ceremony.
July 2 – School Day, under the theme "Promote Dialogue – Protect the Nation."
July 3 – Public Day, under the theme "Language is Light."
July 4 – Youth Day, under the theme "The Dawn of Language."

The programme is being jointly organised by the Official Languages Commission, the Department of Official Languages, and the National Institute of Language Education and Training.
To promote the effective implementation of the Official Languages Policy and strengthen national harmony, the Ministry of Justice and National Integration will also conduct a series of language promotion programmes covering all 25 districts of the country.
The initiatives will target school students, youth, public officials, and the general public, featuring language camps, quiz competitions, bilingual musical events, and projects to enhance library facilities at the district level.
The Ministry stated that the programmes are aimed at encouraging multilingual communication, fostering mutual understanding, and promoting peaceful coexistence among all communities in Sri Lanka.
