The Ministry of Environment has introduced a dedicated WhatsApp hotline, effective from today (June 26), to enable the public to report environmental issues directly to the relevant authorities.

Members of the public can now submit complaints, reports, and other environment-related information via WhatsApp using the number 070 250 9509.

According to the Ministry, priority will be given to reports that are supported by factual evidence, including photographs, official documents, and relevant reports, to ensure prompt and accurate action.

The new initiative is expected to improve the efficiency of environmental monitoring by facilitating more scientific, evidence-based, and timely responses to environmental concerns across the country.

In addition to reporting environmental damage observed in the field, the platform also provides an opportunity for the public to share eco-friendly ideas, suggestions, and feedback directly with the Ministry, strengthening public participation in environmental conservation efforts.
