Speaking at a media briefing held at the Department of Government Information today (24), Commissioner General of Examinations Indika Kumari Liyanage stated that all necessary preparations have been completed to ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations as scheduled.
She noted that the 2026 examination calendar, which was officially announced on September 14, 2025, will remain unchanged and will be implemented as planned.
The Commissioner General further explained that the examination timetable had been prepared after carefully evaluating the academic requirements of students, including the time needed to complete studies and adequately prepare for each examination.
She assured students, parents and educators that sufficient consideration had been given to academic schedules when finalizing the examination dates.
