According to the NWSDB, residents in Padukka, Homagama, Kottawa, Pannipitiya, and Pelenwatte will experience a complete suspension of water supply during the period. Meanwhile, water distribution in Maharagama will continue under reduced pressure.
The temporary disruption is necessary to facilitate maintenance work on the main transmission pipeline that carries water from Kalatuwawa to Boralesgamuwa, the Board said.
The NWSDB has advised consumers in the affected areas to make adequate arrangements in advance and expressed regret for the inconvenience caused.
