The Sri Lankan Rupee recorded a slight depreciation against the US Dollar, according to the latest daily exchange rate notice issued by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) today.

The CBSL reported that the buying rate of the US Dollar increased to Rs. 329.30, while the selling rate rose to Rs. 339.06.

In comparison, the exchange rates published last Friday showed the buying rate at Rs. 328.00 and the selling rate at Rs. 338.70.

The latest figures indicate a depreciation of the local currency against the US Dollar, with both the buying and selling rates recording an upward movement.

Currency exchange rates fluctuate based on market conditions, foreign exchange demand and supply, and broader economic factors affecting the country's financial sector.
