During his June 17–19 visit, Lord Hannett is expected to hold high-level discussions with government officials and private sector representatives, focusing on Sri Lanka’s economic reforms, improving the business environment, and expanding long-term economic partnerships.
Scheduled meetings include talks with Minister of Industries and Entrepreneurship Development Sunil Handunnetti, Deputy Minister Chathuranga Abeysinghe, and senior officials from the Export Development Board and the Department of Commerce.
Discussions will also explore ways to improve market access for UK businesses and increase Sri Lankan exports under the UK’s Developing Countries Trade Scheme, reinforcing the UK’s commitment to supporting Sri Lanka’s economic growth and development.
