Winds will be south-westerly. Wind speed will be (30-40) kmph.
Wind speed can increase up to (50-60) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Kankasanthurai to Kalpitiya via Mannar and Galle to Pottuvil via Hambantota.
Wind speed can increase up to 50 kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Trincomalee to Kankasanthurai via Mullaitivu and Kalpitiya to Galle via Colombo.
State of Sea:
The sea areas off the coasts extending from Kankasanthurai to Kalpitiya via Mannar and Galle to Pottuvil via Hambantota will be rough at times. The sea areas off the coasts extending from Trincomalee to Kankasanthurai via Mullaitivu and Kalpitiya to Galle via Colombo will be fairly rough at times.
Temporarily strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
