Motorists using the Colombo–Katunayake Expressway can now benefit from a streamlined Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) system, which offers a 10% discount on toll charges and faster entry and exit through dedicated ETC lanes.

The Road Development Authority (RDA) has enabled online ETC registration through its website, allowing vehicle owners to apply more conveniently without visiting multiple locations. After registering, users can collect an RFID tag from a designated interchange and top up their ETC account online or via GovPay using a bank card.

ETC payments are currently available at the Peliyagoda, Kerawalapitiya, Ja-Ela and Katunayake interchanges, with plans underway to extend the facility to the Kadawatha Interchange for vehicles accessing the expressway via the Outer Circular Highway.

The RDA advises ETC users to maintain a speed of 15 km/h and keep a distance of 20 metres from the vehicle ahead when passing through ETC lanes to ensure smooth and uninterrupted travel.
