The procession will begin from St. Lucia's Church at 4.00 p.m. and proceed through Kotahena, Hettiyawatta, and St. Anthony’s Mawatha before arriving at National Shrine of St. Anthony for the Divine Liturgy at 5.00 p.m.
Following the service, the procession will resume at 5.30 p.m., travelling through Jinthupitiya, Kadireshan Street, Andiwella Street, Brass Foundry Street, Hinni Appuhamy Road, Aluth Hetti Street, and Jampettah Street before returning to the shrine.
Police said several roads around Kochchikade, Jinthupitiya, Hettiyawatta, George R. De Silva Mawatha, Andiwella Street, Aduruppu Street, and Maha Vidyala Mawatha may be temporarily closed from 2.30 p.m. onwards.
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes via China Street, Main Street, Gaspaha Junction, Maha Vidyala Mawatha, and Armar Barber Junction. Designated parking facilities have been arranged at Jinthupitiya Church, Gold Market, Reclamation Road, George R. De Silva Mawatha, Bloemendhal Road, and Aluth Mawatha.
Sri Lanka Police urged motorists to cooperate with traffic officers and plan their journeys in advance to avoid delays during the religious event.
