The order was issued by Colombo Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama after hearing submissions presented by CIABOC and the defence counsel representing the suspect.
The court ordered that De Silva be released on two surety bails of Rs. 5 million each.
In addition, the Magistrate imposed a travel ban, directing the suspect to surrender his passport to the court and prohibiting him from leaving the country pending further proceedings.
