West Indies secured a comfortable seven-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in the first T20 International played in Kingston, Jamaica.

 Chasing a target of 148 runs set by Sri Lanka, the hosts reached the required total in 19.2 overs, losing only three wickets in the process.

West Indies captain Shai Hope led from the front with a match-winning innings of 65 runs off 54 deliveries, guiding his team to victory with a composed performance.

For Sri Lanka, Wanindu Hasaranga was the standout bowler, claiming four wickets for 32 runs. Despite his efforts, Sri Lanka could not prevent the West Indies batters from successfully chasing down the target.

The victory gives West Indies a 1-0 lead in the T20I series as they continue their campaign against Sri Lanka.
