Parliament today approved a proposal to extend the nationwide State of Public Emergency for a further one month, securing a majority of 128 votes.

The motion was passed following a debate held in Parliament earlier today. During the subsequent vote, 135 Members of Parliament voted in favor of the proposal, while 7 voted against it.

The approval allows the Public Emergency regulations currently in force to remain effective for another month. The debate saw lawmakers expressing their views on the necessity and implications of continuing the emergency measures before the House proceeded to a vote.

With 135 votes in support and 7 against, the motion was carried comfortably, receiving the backing of a significant majority in Parliament.
